The 190 visa is identical to the 189 visa except for one aspect – you must be nominated by a specific state to obtain this visa. State approval will grant the visa applicant 5 points and there is an expectation that the applicant will live and work in that state. This requirement is not statutorily enforced but is a good faith assertion that you will commit to the nominating state.
