The most common stumbling block for the student visa is what is known as the Genuine Temporary Entrant or GTE requirement. This basically needs to be fulfilled in order to show that you are not only studying for the sake of gaining residency, but actually are here to further your education and improve your employment prospects in your originating country and abroad.
